Question : for the past 5 months I have had a shiny spot the size of a US nickel, then the tip of my penius started to itch, I took std test and was negative for all stds except herpes, I saw a nurse and was told to use monistat 7 cream, for a week, the itch stop but the shinny spot on my shaft remain and a small one now shows on the the head of my penis, when to see new dr and gave me fluconazole tablets 150 mg to take for 7 days , today he call and told ne to go see urologist and have them look at it and make sure is not Penile Cancer

Thanks for query .

Based on the facts and the photographs that you have posted You have lesion on the glans penis which is red and raised above the surface of the glans penis .

In view of the history of the lesion being for long duration of more than 5 months and there being no sign of it getting it cured with all the necessary treatment the possibility of it being a malignant lesion has to be ruled out by doing biopsy from the lesion to rule out cancer of the penis .

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical evaluation and get biopsy from the lesion and send it for histopathological examination.
