Question : I have what appears to be a lump on my fore finger at the joint. It looks as if to be connected to the bone. It doesn't hurt.

                                    Brief Answer:
get investigation
Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel, Orthopedic Surgeon.
In my opinion any swelling in the fingers should be investigated whether painful or painless.
If you have noticed it recently you can watch for few weeks to see if it is growing. In case it does not grow / reduce then you can wait further few weeks but in case it is growing- go for immediate consultation .
I hope I have answered your question. Pl feel free to ask any further questions.
