Question : I have a single spot/rash that has blisters in the middle of it on my hip. wondering what it is.
Brief Answer:
Bacterial skin and soft tissue infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Seems like a bacterial skin and soft tissue infection. I suggest you to take an oral antibiotic e.g. either Amoxicillin or Cephalexin 500mg, thrice daily for a week. In addition I suggest you to apply a topical antibiotic e.g. either Neosporin ointment or Mupirocin 2 %ointment, twice daily for a week. Oral antibiotics are prescription medications and I advice you to kindly talk to your local practitioner for a prescription of the same.
Regards

I am having sting and burning pain with it and now it has a hard bump underneath. This has happened since Friday morning but I had stinging pains it this spot Thursday night. This has re-occurred in this same spot at least 5 times over the last 20 years. Does that change your mind on the diagnosis?
Brief Answer:
Oral and topical antibiotics
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I think it is a skin and soft tissue infection, perhaps a cyst that gets repeated infected.. I would recommend oral and topical antibiotics for you, as mentioned in my last reply. You can also take an oral antiinflammatory e.g tab ibuprofen or tab diclofenac for symptomatic relief from pain and swelling.
