Question: Got a small spike under my tongue. Its like a small thread. and its bit paining from couple of days. I noticed it just 2 days back.

I had couple of alcoholic drinks day before that, had peanuts with drinks

It seems like a Papilloma tongue by the looks of it in the photo you have sent. You must have noticed it recently or it might have increased in size recently. Dont worry its a harmless or benign swelling and does not seem to be problematic.

If you are worried it can be removed by a small operation under local anesthesia. But I don't think you need to do that. Do contact your Doctor if you feel much worried.
