Question : I am the mother of a 55 year old male. He has developed an extreme case of fluid retention. bloated stomach, cellulitis. If you stick a pin in him, looks like he will pop! He is a diabetic, has copd, can hardly walk because his feet hurt so bad on the bottom. He is in and out of the hospital and doctor gives him possibly 2 years to live. H e is a smoker and has tried several times to quit. Last night he was hypnotised to quit and so far so good!!!. The doctor believes that to be his main problem and will not properly work for him until he quits. We just need to know how to get the help he really needs. (also started seeing an infection doctor who sees him off & on.

Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns about your son. It is apparent that he has multiple ailments and possibly they are somehow inter-related. However, in order to be able provide proper guidance I would need details of his reports. I assume that you have access to them. I would really be glad if you could upload them and/or the medical notes. Also mention specifically what is being quit (is it smoking? Please confirm). Also mention whether he takes medication regularly and if so, what medicines does he take.
I would await your response. Let me know if I could help further.
Regards
