Question : I have been suffering from severe acid reflux and in the past several months I have started experiencing abdominal pain along with it occasionally. I have heartburn more often than the abdominal pain. The abdominal pain is located mostly in the center, but my whole abdomen will kind of ache. When I have the abdominal pain, it lasts for the most of one day starting upon waking and subsiding by the evening. I read recently that it could be a possible gall bladder issue and read that a natural remedy is to drink a 1/4 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar. I tried it along with a glass of Apple Juice and a couple glasses of water. Within 20 minutes the pain was gone. I have been fine for the past few days since then except that I noticed changes in my stool. There has been a lot of mucus, more frequent bowel movements, and stool has been softer than normal but still solid and yellow in color. I have experienced each of those stool symptoms before but not for 3 days straight. I have not experienced any pain, loss of appetite, or vomiting. Should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
Gastritis, GERD and a possible colitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for using HCM.

I went through your post.
It looks like you have gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux disease and a possible colitis.
There is nothing that is clearly suggestive of gallbladder issue. An ultrasound scan may be done to rule out gallbladder issue.

For relief from abdominal pain and acid reflux , you can take Nexium half an hour before breakfast.
As far as the stool changes are concerned, you have a possible colitis. A stool test and if needed a sigmoidoscopy may be done to confirm it.
You can take probiotic supplements for relief.

There is no need to be concerned.

I hope that answers your query.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
