Question : What is going on in the abdomen when you have a hard workout and you can feel something turning over in your stomach? It was uncomfortable for awhile, but rest got rid of the problem. Now I have the same ache, only it's no movement in there and it's been days since that hard workout with my abs.
Brief Answer:
Sports increases bowel peristaltic movements!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this dull ache. This is simply because sports increases the smooth muscle contractions of the intestines. This is why we have sports helping with constipation. This is nothing to bother about at this time. Other aches can be caused by the repeated contractions of the abdominal muscles with strain. For this, I will recommend that you go ahead and take Ibuprofen for relief. Remember to drink much water as well. Keep me posted with your progress.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
