Question : I have noticed a slight yellow slime around poop. I have slight abdominal pain and am also have flatulance and burping. Also have lower back pain. I went to my local go where he felt my stomach which felt fine. He also took 2 x blood samples which have came back 'normal'. Any ideas what this could be?

I understand your concerns. You could have got a mild intestinal infection. It could be due to bacterial or viral cause. Irrespective of the cause and unless there is blood in your stool, your body can take care of such infections on its own and antibiotics are usually not required. Unless the infection spreads to the blood stream, nothing will show up on a blood test.
You need not worry about it. In case you ever get such an episode, be sure to take ORS (oral rehydration solution) so that you can replenish for the salt and water lost.
