Brief Answer:
FOLLOW THE ADVICE.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

At this stage of pregnancy (near term or elective C-section), mild to moderate abdominal pain is PREDOMINANT feature. It may indicate TRUE labor pain if it is regular, rhythmic, constant and coming from back region to lower abdomen. In that case, you need to contact with your obstetrician or nearby hospital for proper assessment.

In the mean time, you can take DROTAVERINE to reduce abdominal cramp to some extent. It should be combined with RANITIDINE. Take adequate bed rest in left lateral position.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish your good health and successful motherhood.

Dr Soumen

I am only 5-6 weeks pregnant, and am about to go in for an abortion in 5 days. I Don't want to keep the pregnancy because of the circumstances surrounding it. I get on and off abdorminal pain, is this normal? Can I take any pain killer like Acetaminophen?

Brief Answer:
DROTAVERINE IS MORE EFFECTIVE.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for additional information and follow up query.

In early stage of pregnancy, mild to moderate lower abdominal cramp is quite COMMON due to uterine contraction. I suggest to take DROTAVERINE to reduce pain. It is MORE effective than ACETAMINOPHEN.

For safe termination of pregnancy (if you DON'T want to continue), you must contact with your doctor or healthcare provider.

Hope, I have answered your query. Kindly, close the discussion.

Good luck and all the best.

Regards,
Dr Soumen
