Brief Answer:
Get Investigated.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Such kind of pain of a week duration should be Investigated.
The location of pain seems to be of a stone colic or appendicular pain.
I would advise him to get an Ultrasound of abdomen done.
Till then for a patient in my clinic, I would start him on a combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone once a day. These should help with the pain. They are prescription medications though.
Review with Ultrasound report.
If you have any further query please ask me.
