Question : Yes, I fell and landed and my stomach / upper abdomen on the back of a chair. It swelled up and although it happened over a year ago, I still have a fairly large lump there. It is not painful.

Soft tissues hematoma can be the reason. It is possible that large hematoma can be present even a year after an injury.
That is why, it would be good to have soft tissues ultrasound done. Hematoma can be drained.
