Question : Hi doctor

I met with accident last night and there is a scratch on my face. please let me know some ointment to get this cured. I don't want any marks to be left. please help. images attached

I have taken note of your query and I have also reviewed the Images.

I can see that there is an abrasion/ break in the skin on left side of face.

I suggest you to use an OTC topical antibiotic e.g 2% Mupirocin ointment, twice daily for a week.

is the ointment safe for the wound or should I wait for this to heal and then use this ointment. ?

Hi.

This ointment is to be used on the wound itself.
It is absolutely safe. It is antibacterial and would prevent secondary bacterial infection of open wound.
