Brief Answer:
You should take her to the ER although the dose is within acceptable limits

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Xanax (alprazolam) has an acceptable dose of 0.05-0.2 mg/kg. Although I do not know the weight of your child, for a child of 2 years if I assume the body weight to be around 12 kg, a dose of upto 2.4 mg can be acceptable. So it is unlikely to cause any harm although it can lead to sedation. But still, it would be preferrable to visit the emergency room of a hospital with pediatric facilities, and keep the child under medical supervision.

Hope that helps.
