Question : My wife, a type 2 diabetic, injected herself with 15 units of air by mistake. Any problems?
Brief Answer:
need not worry.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX, welcome to HCM forum.
Thanks for posting to us.
There is nothing to worry in this.
We need to worry only when the air is injected into an artery or vein. But, this being injected into subcutaneous space, no complications to be expected.
The air will be slowly absorbed and removed via lungs.
Hope this will answer your query.
