Brief Answer:
It is GERD

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Thank you for posting your question on HealthcareMagic.
The symptoms you are describing are definitely in favour of GERD which is gastero esophageal reflux disease.
The suprasternal notch or catch like sensation which you are describing is an esophageal spasm .
I would recommend the following .Avoid spicy and oily food ,avoid caffeinated drinks.
Eat one to one and half hour before sleeping and sleep with 2 pillows, avoid sleeping flat .
Tab Esmoperazole 40mg daily will help your symptoms to a great extent .
Best wishes
