Brief Answer:
Combination therapy

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

The acid reflux initially, if severe, with accompanying epigastric pain would require optimum dosing of esomeprazole with 40 mg twice a day for a week and then subsequently 40 mg once a day for at least 2 months. Bismuth subsalicylate, metoclopramide and sucralfate should also be added to the regimen for at least 3 weeks if esomeprazole alone is unable to provide relief. If the pain and GERD persists despite the above medication then an x ray erect abdomen, ultrasound abdomen pelvis and an upper GI endoscopy can be considered to look for other possibilities.

Brief Answer:
IBS treatment options

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

Its Dicyclomine. Dicyclomine is used in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome. Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic drug. It relieves muscle spasms in the gastrointestinal tract.

I would recommend Tab Eucarbon . It is a mild laxative and has detoxifying properties due to presence of charcoal which has added benefits. Eucarbon is indicated in IBS ( irritable Bowel syndrome) and helps in regularizing bowel movements and lessening pain.

Eucarbon contains the following
Vegetable charcoal
Folium Sennae
Rhurab root
Essential mint oils and fennel oils

Sucralfate 1 g twice a day should also be taken in addition to eucarbon. Mebeverine and hyoscine butylbromide can be used if spasmodic pain episodes recur despite using dicyclomine as mentioned in the earlier question. You may discuss these options with your doctor. Please consult your doctor before starting any medication. A high fiber diet, stress reduction, avoiding caffeinated beverages and alcohol should also be included as part of the lifestyle changes.

Wishing you best of health

thanks
