Suggest Treatment For Acne Lesions On Skin

Question: For about 10 days I've noticed a small skin coloured bump on skin. Is about 3mm. Looks like a spot but I tried to pop it with sterilised needle as looks like it had a white head but it was just skin and bled very slightly. It's not grown in size or itchy. Could this be a nodular melenoma ? I've got a picture if that will help ? It's about 2 inches above collar bone

Brief Answer:
Acne lesion; try topical benzoyl peroxide gel
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thank you for Images.
This seems like an acne lesion rather than a melanoma.
Melanomas are commonly pigmented lesions or they may contains variations in color e.g blue, red, white areas.
Melanoms may eiher arise in a pre-exisitng mole or they may arise de-novo.
Usually they grow in size which a patient is able to make out as recent change in size. Melanoma is usually an asymmetrical lesion and may bleed or ulcerate.
I suggest that you try a topical antiacne e.g benzoyl peroxide 5% gel, twice daily for a few days.
Regards

Thanks. I thought a nodular melanoma was a dome shape and didn't follow the superficial spreading melanoma. What size would a nodular one measure ? And would the nodule be firm and hard to touch ? Thankyou
Brief Answer:
You don't seem to have nodular melanoma
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Yes, nodular melanoma is dome shaped, firm, nodule.
Nodule suggests that it has a deeper component unlike a superficial melanoma. Melanomas are usually pigmented.
It would measure more than 5mm in size.
