Question : Hi, I'm 40 yr old female with acne on my face and arms, I unconsciously scratch them which leaves marks and keep recrring. I've had topical treatments like ointments and soap which temporarily ease the situation but once I stop, they start erputing again. Kindly prescribe me something that I can buy from online pharmacies cuz I belong from non-metro city.

Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am dr.jakkar(dermatologist). I have gone through your query and i have noted your concern.
You may use Clinamycin 1% gel (Clindac A 1% solution) for day time application over acne.
At night you may apply Deriva CMS gel (Adapalene 0.1% +Clindamycin 1%) over the acne affected area.
Use cetaphil cleansing lotion for face wash, twice daily.
Once your acne is under control switch to Deriva MS (Adapalene 0.1%) for maitenance of improvement.
These medicines are easily available. You can check from your local chemist.

Thank you. I have purchased the prescription. I want to know what should I use for acne on arms? Also, my skin and hair are very oily in nature, it would be huge favor if you suggested something for the same .

Hi.

Use benzoyl peroxide 5% gel (benzac-AC 5% gel) twice daily for arm acne.
For oily skin you may use either Episoft OC cleanser Or Cetaphil OS cleanser.
Use Sebowash shampoo for oily hair every alternate days.
