Provide more information.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

I have read your query and understand the concern about your husband.

Since your husband is on treatment with Helico-bacter pylori infection which is the underlying cause of his gastric problem.

However,I will need to know which antibiotics combinations drugs he has been given and from how many days.

Below mentioned dietary precautions will be helpful to get relief from gastric symptoms.

1) Give Tab.Gas-X twice daily if he has symptoms like bloating and sharp burning pain.(He must be taking antacids already)

2) Syrup digene 2 TSF three times a day will also be helpful.

3) Avoid hot, oily and spicy foods.

4) Avoid eating full stomach one at a time rather, take small meals frequently.

5) Better to avoid complex carbohydrates like beans, potato and carbonated beverages and milk based products which are hard to digest.

6) Ask him to drink plenty of water and fruit juices.

7) There are certain digestive enzymes (Uni-enzymes) available over the counter which will also be helpful in the digestion of carbohydrates and minimize the gas production and thus will be helpful from gastric symptoms.

8) Quit alcohol and smoking if he does.

Hope this will be helpful and get back to me with more information.

Regards,

Dr.Sandip Kabra
