Brief Answer:
Wait for a couple of weeks to see some improvement in your symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for choosing HCM for your health related queries

You have Paranoid Schizophrenia and are on Risperidone 6 mg per day and Haloperidol 50 ml per month for last 6 weeks and the symptoms are persisting.

See normally antipsychotics start showing their effects in about 4-8 weeks but in some individuals with severe symptoms the drugs take time to show their effects. So even you have passed 6 weeks on this drug even then no need to worry. Wait for about a couple of weeks and you should see improvement in some symptoms. Both drugs are good drugs to control psychotic symptoms and paranoid delusions. Don't be distressed with these symptoms.

If symptoms persist even with drugs then other medicines like Quetiapine, Amisulpiride or Clozapine can be used. Clozapine is usually prescribed as a reserve drug for resistant symptoms and is a wonder drug. The drug can control the resistant paranoid delusions. You can discuss with your doctor for that drug if your symptoms persist with the medicines. Over all the drug is better tolerated but in some individuals it may cause blood dyscrasia so continuous blood count monitoring is needed when individual is prescribed this medicine. You can discuss with your psychiatrist for this drug.

Thanks, please ask again if you have more doubts. Don't feel bad about your symptoms, they will reduce in severity in some time.
