Brief Answer:
Maxillary Sinusitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. The roots of the upper teeth are closely related to the floor of the maxillary sinus of that side. The roof of the maxillary sinus is the floor of the orbit. (bony socket of the eye).

2. The combination of amoxicillin + clavulanic acid will be a good first line antibiotic. However this should be taken only under strict medical supervision. Supportive treatment will include anti allergic, mucolytic, anti inflammatory, steam inhalation, saline nasal washes and short term OTC nasal decongestant drops.

3. A plain CT PNS ( Para Nasal Sinuses ) is the gold standard investigation. Get it done if there is no response after 4-8 weeks of maximum medical therapy.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
