Question : I had acute stomach pain, loose stools and vomiting. I took Pantodac DSR .I took Ciplox TZ which I vomitted out after taking. I am 56 years of age , about 85 kg and diabetic. I am feeling okay now. Should I continue the medication

Stop the Ciplox and continue Pantodac.

Hello XXXX,
The treatment you took was fine.
You do not need Ciplox TZ anymore but do continue Pantodac for a week to 10 days more.
This will help settle your stomach completely.
Depending on what anti diabetic medicines you are having I usually prescribe Pantoprazole tablets regularly with some of them. It decreases the stomach acid secretion effectively and helps in action as well as protects the stomach from the action of some of the medicines.
Therefore do continue the Pantodac for at least 10 days and you would be fine.

What is the dosage of Pantodac to be taken for the next couple of days.Is it
1-0-1? Kindly clarify.

Twice a day on empty stomach.
