Suggest Treatment For Agitation, Palpitation And Short Term Memory Loss

I seem to have some sort of ANXIETY problem.
i have never suffered any sort of stress , fear, anxiety worry ever in my life as i have strong coping mechanisms and deal with workload really well.
i am a CEO of an electrical business and deal with problems daily if not hourly.
i rarely get emotional and have a good family history with 4 children and an amazing wife
in the last 2 months i seemed to get agitated easy , impatient and my sleep is disturbed, heart races now and then. i have a good diet and my health is good. i have some short term memory loss but seemed to have increased my long term memory and solve problems now better than ever
my family does have anxiety that runs in the family and my brother is bipolar
i had a dream that felt real and woke up crying even though it was a happy dream.
i have people constantly asking me whats wrong
and can't sit still.
iit seems everyone around me is worried about me except me
am i in denial or is it possible that my body has been affected by everyone around me panicking
my right bottom lip is numb as i hit a nerve by putting a toothpick down a cavity a couple months ago other than that i have no medical issues currently
probably anxiety disorder.

Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concerns.
You have become impatient, get agitated easily, have disturbed sleep and racing heart. There is short term memory loss also and cant sit still. All this has been happening since last two months.
Your family also has anxiety issues and brother has bipolar disorder.
In light of above history, I feel you have some anxiety disorder.
People around you must have observed changes in you. That is why they have been panicking and wondering what has happened to you.
In an anxiety disorder, the patient usually has acceptance for his problems.
But you seem to be not worried much.
This suggest that your anxiety must be mild to moderate and not affecting your activities of daily living.
I think this does not need drug treatment.
Some lifestyle modifications which include relaxation exercises like deep breathing and meditation, Eating more of green vegetables, drinking lots of water, taking out time for yourself from your work etc will help you.
If the problem of sleep is bothersome, you can take tablet clonazepam (prescription drug). This will take care of sleep as well as anxiety.
Kindly consult your doctor and discuss these issues.
Hope this helps.
Feel free to ask further.
Take care.
Thanks.

i have always had little sleep , say 5 - 6 hours per night now I'm down to half of that.
i don't use an alarm and I'm never tired so i guess its ok.
i hardly drink water so thanks for that
do consult a psychiatrist for detailed clinical interview.
Detailed Answer:
You are most welcome.
That is kind of unusual. You take 2.5-3 hours of sleep and you are never tired.
Since you have family history of bipolar disorder, I would request you to be cautious about its sign and symptoms. Keep in regular touch with your local psychiatrist and discuss your symptoms with him also. A detailed clinical interview is must.
Anyhow, drink plenty of water. This will serve as antioxidant and flush out harmful chemicals from your body.
Hope this helps.
I wish you well.
Take care.
Regards.

I'm happy with those answers
