Question : i have terrible seasonable allergies and right now I am having trouble breathing where I feel like someone is got their hands around my throat. any solutions?

I took claritin D and cannot get to a pharmacy tonight as I am at an event right now. Can I also take some benadryl? The claritin D was a few hours ago...

Thanks for the query

Here is what you should do

1. You can take Benadryl up to twice daily. It will help decongest your throat and nose
2. If you have a blocked nose oxymmetazoline nasal drops is the best to relieve it
3. I recommend steam inhalation three times day
4. I usually prescribe my patients Tab Fexofenadine twice daily, it gives them good relief. I give it for about 5-7 days
5. Avoid cold food and beverages until you are better
