Question : I had a very strong allergic reaction this week (I ended up in the A&E) to Vitex Agnus Castus (a herbal medicine), a plant from the Lamiaceae family. To this plant family also belong mint, XXXXXXX sage, oregano, lavender etc. I was never allergic before to anything. Should I now be afraid to eat XXXXXXX etc, because they belong to this same plant family? Apparently cross-reactivity occurs between members of this plant family. Is it likely I will be allergic to these herbs now, even though I was never before?

                                    Brief Answer:
No need to worry much for this.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No need to worry much for allergic reaction with mint, XXXXXXX oregano, lavender etc.
Cross sensitivity is always possible but you are taking all these since years without any problem.
So no need to worry for cross sensitivity.
For safety, I advise you to take them in small quantities first and if you are not having any reaction or problem than you can consume them without any fear.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
