Question : My grandson is 11 months old and lives in the Caribbean. He got two (what my daughter believes) spider bites. The doctor prescribed amoxicillin and after only a partial dose he began to throw up and continued to throw up all night long. They didn't give him any more of the amoxicillin but about once a day usually at bedtime he throws up once. He is not feverish, his spider bites appear to be clearing up, he keeps his food and drink down the rest of the day. Is his stomach still just irated from the night he was so sick? He is also getting three new teeth.

Hello. I just read through your question.
It seems like he reacted to the amoxicillin. Once there is a reaction, there can be lingering effects for several days, even up to 1-2 weeks. As long as he is otherwise ok, I wouldn't worry much about it. If it persists for longer than 2 weeks, or it worsens, I recommend consulting with your doctor.
