Brief Answer:
Your wife are most probably having chronic sinusitis with allergy .

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX ,
Thanks for the query.

I have read your query , reviewed your medications and understand your concern.

As per your clinical history it appears that your wife are most probably having chronic sinusitis with allergy .Allergy can be kept in control but difficult to cure completely .

If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advice her
Steam Inhalation twice daily,
Salt water gargle twice daily ,
Saline nasal spray thrice daily like Solspre ,
Combination Steroid nasal spray with antihistamine 2 puff each nostril twice daily like Duonase nasal spray ,
Tab Paracetamol 500mg for pain with headache &
Antibiotic azithromycin 500mg /day for 5 days .

Gargle with water 20 mins after nasal spray use to remove any spray coming to throat . She will need to continue Duonase nasal spray till allergy subsides .

She will get relief .

You will need to see your doctor to get a prescription.

Hope it is helpful to you . If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
Duonase nasal spray has to use daily to keep allergy in control .

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX ,
Thanks for the follow up query.

Steam & Gargle has to be done on daily basis.

Antibiotic azithromycin 500mg /day for 5 days only, it has less side effect than other antibiotics. It is a prescription medicine.
Saline nasal spray 3 puff thrice daily like Solspre can be used when cold & dry cough present more. It has no side effect.

Duonase nasal spray has to use daily to keep allergy in control. It is required for long term till allergy subside. Since it is acting in nose locally it has very less side effect .

Tab Paracetamol 500mg for pain with headache when present only.

Our face & nose from inside is formed form sinuses. So we can't remove sinuses permanently. We can remove disease tissue from inside it . So ,it can be kept in control but difficult to cure completely .

Regards.
