Brief Answer:
Area more vascular due to inflammation, bleeding +

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.

Looking at the clinical history and query, my opinion is as follows:
1. It looks like he has infection in his left leg, secondary to allergy. It must be open or inflammed area.
2. As it is present from a longer time, biopsy is necessary to identify the cause. If it is an open wound, I need to rule out any fungal infection or tumor.
3. If any pus or open wound is present, culture will be necessary.
4. A surgeon would be best if it is a open wound. If not a medicine person will be helpful.
5. If you can send the image, i can be more helpful.
6. As there will be plenty of inflammation surrounding area, it will be more vascular and bleeding will be severe. As suggested earlier, biopsy will be necessary.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
