Question : Hi- my wife appears to have a bug bite of some kind, can you look and see whet you might think this could be? Any medication she should take? It has swolen across the area and itches.

Exact bug difficult to identify. Cortisone cream would do.

I am so sorry to hear about this probable bite she had. This is very non specific besides the redness and probably itches. There is nothing to worry about. Applying a cortisone cream for relief of itches and limit inflammation is all that is needed. There is no need for a systemic drug at this time. Unless there is something else that you have failed to mention, she's good and would be very fine sooner than later.
