Suggest Treatment For Angioma On Chest And Upper Abdomen

default
Posted on Tue, 20 Jan 2015
Question: I have about 30 or so protruding, larger than skin tag size nodules on my face (1), chest, upper abdomen all filled with blood. They are increasing in number and new flat areas come and then grow into these things. I am an RN,(currently disabled) being followed my an NP. I don't like when I am smarter than who is taking care of me. She called them blood blisters and dismissed any further discussion. One of the larger ones is approx. 7 mm long, 3mm wide, and 3mm in height. I have several medical problems, many requiring more attention than this, but this one is currently bugging me most.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.

I have gone through the picture sent by you and the history provided with best diligence. After analyzing the complete query I can make out that you have the simple condition known as Angiomas.

This is basically proliferation of underlying blood vessels which we call as angioma. This is due to aging process and is most often seen in females.

This never pose any future problem and is a totally benign growth. SO do not worry as these never going to cause any problem in future.

Generally these doesn't require any treatment but if at all someone is very much worried then I remove this by simple radio-frequency ablation or electro-cautery which requires only few minutes.

I hope you must be relaxed now. If you have any further queries I will be glad to help you.

With good health wishes,
