Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Both anxiety and depression are common psychiatric disorders and treatment options are available for both the conditions. Infact the medications used for both the conditions are same so it is possible that your condition can be treated with single medicine despite having the two conditions.

The other option for treatment of anxiety and depression is cognitive behavior therapy which is quite effective.

It will be appropriate to see a psychiatrist in your city without any delay. It is important to seek treatment as early as possible as prolonged untreated depression causes more resistance to treatment.

I hope this helps you.
Thanks and regards.

Thank you for your response sir,

is it 100% treatable, because i feel very low all the time and it would be the same.
How long does this usually take to overcome the situation, Can it be overcomed by life style changes. I work in the night shifts sir and recently i have awakes during sleep as well. Please advice.

Brief Answer:
Lifestyle changes alone do not help completely

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

It can not be said that it is 100% curable as every patient is different and responds differently to treatment but it can be said that there is high chance of treatment.

Most of the patients need for treatment of 9-12 months for first episode although if it remains untreated for longer the duration of treatment will be longer.

Life style changes are definitely useful but not sufficient to treat the condition.

I hope this assists you further.

Brief Answer:
Please consult a psychiatrist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.

The most important next step in current situation is to see a psychiatrist without delay. In case you are interested in psychotherapy rather than mefications than psychologist could be answer to your need.

The response to treatment will be final determinant of your coping with or without medication. I think the answer to this question can be given only after thtough evaluation.

I hope this helps you further.
Thanks and regards.
