Suggest Treatment For Anxiety And Negative Thoughts In A Person

I'm 33 yo female and kinda feeling anxious for the past 4 months, just generally about the future and these negative thoughts don't go and they keep on running and I can't stop. I was never like this before but only manifested when I was on Dianne 35 for a little over a year which I stopped two months ago. Could this be due to this BC? I'm quite a worrier sometimes so I thought this put me at risk of being greatly anxious from BC. Please take note that I can still do normal work and other activities in my life. It's just the uneasiness of this negative running thoughts. But I believe I have improved when I stopped taking Diane 35.
To add to the above, I feel like I am going crazy because I cant stop thinking about these negative thoughts which make me more anxious.. Do I need treatment or I just need to take it easy since it's only been two months since I have stopped from Dianne 35? My doctor advised Dianne 35 due to severe acne over a year ago but I was not told that I can only take it for a short period of time.
I would like you to provide me with some info

2) Did it start gradually or suddenly? I think gradually. It started with becoming very emotional and irritable the whole time I was on D-35, and then started feeling blue last Dec and it didn't help that I am a worrier so it aggravated it. Now everytime I think about what I felt last dec and XXXXXXX it worries me that Im going to go through it again so I am worried.
3) Have you been taking any other meds as well? Just Multi Vit and Vit B complex
4 ) Any stressful events lately? none
5) Did you face any suspected hormonal issues after leaving the pill? like wait changes .. disturbed periods etc? maybe few days delayed period.
6) Do you sleep well? I get occasional sleepless nights last Dec and XXXXXXX But now I got back to normal sleep except for occasional worries during the day.
7) Are you otherwise active in daily life matters? Yes active in jogging, and gym work out. And I have social events most of the time. Which I like very much bec it distracts me.
How long will the hormone effects of D-35 go away?
Things are expected to get better in a couple o months
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back,
I have read your reply closely and now I will try to sum up what is possibly happening with you.
If you read about D-35 (Cuproterone acetate) side effects it is clearly mentions that
"CPA has been associated with the incidence of depression, which can reportedly occur in up to 30% of patients."
REFERENCE: XXXXXXX XXXXXXX (2007). Transsexual and Other Disorders of Gender Identity: A Practical Guide to Management. Radcliffe Publishing. p. 174. ISBN 978-1-85775-719-4.
And it is also clearly mentioned that one SHOULD NOT just stop taking the pill altogether, it should be weaned off , by reducing the dose gradually over some time.
According to your history there is every possibility that your symptoms are because of D-35 specially because you gave a gap between doses and then stopped taking it without weaning off.
what ever happened that has happened and can't be changed now your present condition tells me that some how you are not currently in hormonal distress.
Though i can not run labs on you but still there is little evidence of you having hormonal disturbance.
I think your are showing improving trend and things will get better with time.
You yourself must have been feeling gradual improvement.
I believe all you should do is to keep calm keep yourself busy and try to box out your anxieties , won't suggest taking any meds for now.
Things are expected to improve but may take a couple of months more before you feel real improvement.
Keep a close look on yourself for irregularity of periods and hair production on body or things like that , just in case you notice anything wrong get to your doctor.
If you don't improve in a couple of months then get to your doctor they might wanna check you for hormonal disturbances , but for now give it some time to settle , hopefully it will get better with time.
I Hope this answers your question, if your have more queries feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it. Wish you the best of health.
Regards,
Dr.Muhammad Ahmad.
