Brief Answer: please try muscular relaxation technique Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for choosing wwwhealthcaremagic Please write symptoms and problems you are facing in detail. If it is OCD, your doctors will prescribe SSRI medicines which may take up to 12 weeks to start effect. For immediate benefit for some time, medicines like clonazepam may be helpful, but must consult your doctor and take his guidance. In the mean time, you can try relaxation training called Jacobson's progressive muscular relaxation and controlled breathing through nose (not mouth). Brief Answer: This drug is sold with psychiatryprescription only Detailed Answer: Hello Alprazolam is effective but very likely to produce dependence so it is not the preferred medicine. The main medicine is SSRI like Sertraline , Paroxetine , fluoxetine or escitalopram. These are very effective in controlling your problem. Secondly, this is a drug which can be refilled on prescription of a psychiatrist because this produces dependence. so you are very right in saying about refilling problem. Dr Saatiish Jhuntrraa
