Question: Antidepressants and anesthesia. I have been taking VIIBRYD since January and doing wonderfully. Last week I had to have a d&c and thermal ablation for uterine fibroids. The second day after surgery I woke up all jittery and like an elephant was sitting on my chest. It has continued to get worse the last couple of days. I have now upped to 40 mg of Viibryd, but it has only been two days. Today if I didn't take 1 mg of African every 8 hours (basically making me sleep) I was hysterically crying.

Brief Answer: consult a psychiatrist. Detailed Answer: Hello mam I think you shouldn't alter the dose of any medicine or add any medicine without the opinion of an expert. I would like to suggest you to consult a psychiatrist who can examine you and prescribe you right dose and right drug. For having a sound sleep most important is lying down in your comfort zone and taking a good supper before lying down to sleep. I wish you the best of health.Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. Take care.
