Such symptoms are due to persisting anxiety due to dysfunctional thyroid
Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. A lot of individuals with dysfunctional thyroid present with anxiety as main presenting feature. Anxiety usually present with symptoms like palpitations, restlessness, tremors etc.
Anxiety is noting but a sense of inner restlessness due to some anticipated fear consciously or unconsciously. So even when you are not anxiety still you can have symptoms of anxiety. Neurotransmitters like noradrenaline are implicated in causation of anxiety. The hormone is responsible for symptoms of anxiety. This is the probable reason that you remain light headed even when you are calm.
Check your current thyroid levels and see if they are in abnormal range. If the levels still come in abnormal ranges then consult your Endocrinologist for adjustment in doses of your drugs. Also consult a psychiatrist for proper treatment and evaluation of your symptoms. Medicines like Propranolol are found to be very useful in anxiety. The medicine help to relieve symptoms of anxiety and lightheadedness and you will feel better. Also try relaxation exercises to keep yourself relaxed.
Please visit a psychiatrist for proper prescription.
Thanks, I hope this helps you. Please ask again if you have more doubts.
Take care
