Question : Hi! I got a small 0.5cm lump in my armpit last year. I am male and 30 years old in great health. I went to my doc last year and he performed a blood test and X-ray and said I was fine.
He lump didn't really grow much in the 1 year. Maybe became 0.8cm or so.
Should I go back to the doc or let it go? It seems round, and movable.

To recapitulate: Male/30 - in great health - blood tests and X-ray last year was normal - got a lump in the armpit of about 0.5 cm - now grown to about 0.8 cm or so - round and movable - wants to know whether to go back to the Doctor or let it go...
My thoughts after reading the history provided by you:
- Since there is a lump, it must be investigated and further action taken as per the reports it gives.
- Consult a Doctor, preferably a General Surgeon for clinical evaluation, request for ultrasonography and FNAC that is fine needle aspiration cytology.
- The investigations should be pointing to the probable diagnosis and blood tests and X-ray are not much diagnostic in such a case.
The most probable reasons are:
Lymph node
or a Sebaceous cyst.

The lump has existed for a year now. Do you think it would have gotten rapidly worse if it was cancer?
