Suggest Treatment For Arthritic Pain In Left Hip Socket

I went to a pain clinic in 2012 and received shots to relieve the pain that lasted 2 years Now in August 2014 it has returned and I returned to the same clinic but my doctor. I found him thinking he would do the same procedure that he done in 2012....he is now a teacher at the nebr. med center. The procedure changed ....
for the leg pain he shot the sacraielac nerve....the first time when that didn't work in 2012 he explained their was a nerve within the hip that carried a nerve to the legs and when he shot that in 2012 the pain
was gone and lasted 2 years. My 2014 procedure he didn't try it. What do I do.
Need to re-visit your doctor and discuss the details sir
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. If you do not mind me asking sir, what according to you are the results of the most recent shots that were administered for the pain? Have they shown any signs of improvement or you prefer the effect the shots in 2012 had?
If you are experiencing the same results (which I doubt you are, or else why would you write to me, correct?), then the technique employed would not matter, as long as you find relief.
But if at all you found the previous method better (i.e. 2012) then you should speak to your doctor about the approach he employed in 2012. The nerve your doctor spoke about "he explained their was a nerve within the hip that carried a nerve to the legs and when he shot that in 2012 the pain
was gone and lasted 2 years". He was talking about the sciatic nerve (I am guessing), and that nerve itself can easily be the main cause for your complaints. There do of course exist other options as well, but please do speak to your doctor about:
+You not finding relief from the current shots
+You preferring the shots that were administered in a particular region in 2012
I hope you find my response helpful sir. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help.
Best wishes.

I take Tylnol for easiing pain.
Thank you for your response, I suspect I will go to a Neurologist.
Thank you again XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
A few possible scenarios sir
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again Mr. XXXXXXX
Thank you so much for your response.
In my opinion any of the following scenarios could be closest to the truth:
+You could have developed a resistance to pain management medications over the years. But this is again an assumption as I do not know which medications were used, and at what strength
+Your new doctor may not have analysed you well enough (underestimated) to understand the gravity of you situation and may not have given you medications or a dosage as per your requirements
+Your condition may have worsened over the years, which will most certainly require attention from a neurologist or pain management specialist
I hope you can find relief at a neurologists office or at least make some progress towards finding the right path towards finding relief. Please feel free to write to me sir, any doctor who understands the gravity of the situation will provide you pain relief. Just requesting your patience as some patients can go as far as faking pain to get their hands on such medications, and so patients who really need those medications like yourself may have to suffer the patience the long process calls for. I am always here for you sir.
Best of luck.
