Neck joints can also have problems with age. We don't call it arthritis, it is known as spondylitis. Simple xrays of neck spine can diagnose it. If required, MRI can be done for confirmation.
Treatment is mostly by physiotherapy, neck collar, pain meds, etc. Calcium supplements are also given. There may be associated osteoporosis for which calcium and vitamin d are needed.
