Question : Hi I was recently diagnosed with avascular necrosis I was curious to know if I can be prescribed medical marijuana and if that would even help relieve pain thank you

I am Dr Gopal.Goel.Orthopedic Surgeon

Avascular necrosis is due to depletion of blood supply in hip bone. It leads to secondary arthritis which causes pain.

Marijuana has no role as a medical pain-killer in avascular necrosis of hip. For pain you can take tynelol.
