Brief Answer:
Continue medication, consider anti viral drugs (Acyclovir), and seeing a Dr

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,

I think the medication you are taking is good. It is difficult to project exactly in shingles how long symptoms should last. However, I think what's important is proper pain and symptom control.

Added to the drugs that you are taking, Amytriptiline ( Tricyclic anti depressant) 50mg daily, or a maximum of 100mg helps in some cases, especially persons who do not sleep properly.

You might need to consider using anti viral drugs. Shingles is a disease causes by herpes virus. Topical Acyclovir and Oral Acyclovir could be helpful in facilitating and accelerating recovery from shingles.

Thanks and kind regards as I wish you the best of health. A clinical review by your doctor'll guide the proper choicesfurther in this regard.

Please, do feel free asking further questions in case of need.
