Brief Answer:
AGE RELATED SPONDYLITIS / SCIATICA

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If there is no history of fall and if the pain is not radiating to the lower limb , then DIAGNOSIS is LS STRAIN / AGE RELATED SPONDYLITIS

TREATMENT:
1) bed rest for about
2) Low back exercises ( mainstay of the treatment )
3) LS CORSET ( belt )
4) Dicloran gel for local application
5) Hot water fomentation

This should solve your problem in about 2 - 3 weeks ( if exercises done
sincerely )

If the pain is radiating to the lower limb ( shooting type ) , this indicates that it is neurological in origin
DIAGNOSIS: SCIATICA
TREATMENT:
1) Complete rest for about 2 weeks
2) T.Neugaba-M 0-0-1 for about 1 month
3) T.Tryptomer 25 mg 1-0-1 for about 2 weeks
4) low back exercises regularly
IF THIS PAIN IS ASSOCIATED WITH WEAKNESS OF FOOT / TOES ,then please go for an MRI SCAN to rule out any spinal pathology like IVDP (disc prolapse ).

Hope i have answered your question.
Regards.
