Brief Answer:
throat infections not usually associated with stroke
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Stroke is not usually associated with infections of the throat.
They can sometimes be associated with lung infections if the stroke has affected the ability to gag and protect the windpipe.
If there is a problem with the gag reflex then the person may inadvertently let food or drink into the windpipe which leads to the lungs. This would then cause infections to occur.
Strokes, however, are not normally associated with infections of the throat.
Throat infections normally resolve easily with appropriate treatment, so you should be ok.
