                                            Question : "to be answered by dr XXXXXXX abraham" hey doc the nurse just called with my cultural results so she said that i have a bacterial infection (bacterial vaginitis) something like that they are putting me on 2 weeks of flagyl she said everything else came back negative what else do u think they tested for? could it be possible that this whole time it has been a bacterial infection thats just never been treated? she told me to continue to take anti depressant as well

Bacterial vaginosis ( BV ) is an infection that happens inside the vagina.
It cannot lead to the bumps , redness etc that you are having.
They would test you for yeast, and parasites ( trichosomonal infection ) and other bacteria like streptococcus.
Take the flagyl, and continue the antidepressants.
