Brief Answer:
Balantitis

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to hear that you are having problems with balantitis. You are wondering how to treat the problem with OTC medications. The first thing I would say is that you may need to stop the hot tub every monrning. This extra water adn heat maybe prolonging the infection. I would also ask to remove fabric softeners from your laundry as they can cause allergies and maybe part of your problem. Next I would recommend using hydrocortisone cream at least 2 days a day for the next two weeks then reduce to every other day. Hopefully this will reduce your overal symptoms. Oral antibiotics will help if you have a bacterial infection but amoxicillin is not effect for this type of infection. If these efforts don't help then you will need an oral antibiotic that will kill skin infections.

I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions
