Posted on Mon, 19 Dec 2016
Question: I had irregular periods this year. See schedule as below:
20th Feb, April 9th, 23rd may, 16th July, 18th Aug, 18th Sep.
Since 18th Oct spotting started as it is during end of period. Light flow bleeding started since 23rd Oct and normal flow from 25th Oct. Went on till 31st Oct.
Had light spotting on 11th Nov.
Spotting again started from 18th Nov as it is during end of period and normal flow from 20th Nov. From 23rd Nov heavy flow started. Visited doc on 26th. They did basic blood tests and asked to get USG Pelvis done.
In USG Pelvis report it says I have bilateral PCOD.
Haemoglobin is 11.5
RBC count - 5
ESR - 24
RBS - 81
TSH - 1.50

I want to understand what is the current status of this disease and what should I do. Feel helpless since doc did not advise anything.

Hello dear,

Thanks for trusting hcm about your health care.
I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.

Your report is showing that you are having Bilateral PCOD.

But before giving my opinion I would like to ask a few questions from you.

Are you having unusual facial hair growth?
Are you overweight?

Please get your hormonal profile (LH,Fsh,estrogen and progesterone).
Get your blood sugar and insulin levels.

Hope to hear from you soon.
Good luck.

I think there is little facial hair growth, not much.

My next period will be around 18th Dec I think. So will do tests then and let you know.
