Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.

I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.

Bipolar depression is a difficult to treat ilness and is mostly resistant to antidepressants alone therapy. Among the antidepressants bupropion is preferable as it doesnt act on serotonine and prevents the posibility of manic switches.infact it act on dopamine and nor adrenaline to solve the core issues of depression. Further as it is a bipolar depression, you will certainly need to take a mood stabilizer like valproate or lamotrigine along with the antidepressants. Being schedule Xdrugs, these wont be available without a local prescription. So in any case you will have to meet you local doctor and get them prescribed.

Hope I am able to answer your concerns.

If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.

Brief Answer:
No, its different

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Sincere apologies for the confusion. The short form BPD is used for both the borderline personality disorder as well as Bipolar Depression. As you had asked for an antidepressent, I though it was the later one. Both are different entities.
Borderline personality disorder doesnt have a good medical treatment with drugs. Fluoxetine is a drug which can be effective in certain cases. However the treatment of choice is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. It is taken up by either a psychologist or a psychiatrist. This is a long therapy with weekly sessions. As I said fluoxetine may be given. It will take care of the comorbid depression as well along with the BPD.
Hope this helps,
If you have any further concerns, do let me know.
Kind regards
