Question : I've had black stools since Monday night, I don't have any abdominal pain, but I've had a sinus infection for a week.

I can understand your concerns.

Usually change in stool colour is due to food we take. However black stool also suggest bleeding from gastrointestinal tract.

So I will suggest you to monitor your stool colour daily for the change in colour. Get your stool examination for any blood loss. Also get your haemoglobin levels daily for 2 -3 days to see any fall in haemoglobin levels.

If any of the above tests are positive then visit a Gastroenterologist for evaluation in the form of endoscopy and may be colonoscopy.
