Question : My 7yr old daughter fell out of her bed last night while asleep and somehow hit the corner of her eye.
Immediately a large blue lump appeared, and she went a yellowish colour and started shivering (which I am assuming is shock due to the fact she was asleep when it happened)
I iced it straight away.
The next morning however the swelling seems to have spread across to her temple and it looks like she is getting a black eye. I have had to give her panadol due to her being in pain. Her complaints are her eye hurts when she bends forward and that side of her face hurts. Can she have fractured something

Brief Answer:
Better to seek medical attention
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.
As it is already few hours passed, significant head injury is unlikely.
Anyhow, black eye following a fall can suggest head injury(only minor in this case),and eye pain on bending forward is suggestive of some retro-orbital collection(hematoma). This may need antibiotic treatment to prevent complications like orbital cellulitis.
So it is better to see your doctor and get a CT scanning done,so that we can be confident, and manage accordingly.
Meanwhile, continue ice pack application and panadol.
Hope I have answered your query.
Wishing for a faster cure.
