Brief Answer:
physiologic pigmentation, ecchymosis

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.

As far as the black spot over the gums is concerned, I have two possibilities, it can be a normal physiologic pigmentation or it can be ecchymosis secondary to trauma. It is don't think that is a melanoma.

I will suggest you consult an oral physician and get it evaluated. In the interim you need not be worried it is unlikely to be a cancer.

Hope my answer will help you, take care.
