Question : Hi doc.. question to XXXXXXX koregol
i had one more episode of SCH yesterday and got a scan done . Baby is healthy with good heart beat . Accn to lmp i m 11 weeks 6 days and fetal age is 10 weeks 5 days . Since i had multiple gestations other sacs r still arnd getting crumpled. And the bleeding was from another old sac.. However since it was near the babys sac as well radiologist cudnt make out if bleeding was also near this healthy baby's sac . However although my baby is fine i am still tensed when i have such bleeding episodes. Please let me know if SCH is a risk ?
Is there a way i can prevdnt it ? What else can i do to stop myself from worrying? Is SCH more risky if it appears in 2 or 3 trimester? After 3 months will the pregnancy progress better and miscarriage chances reduce?

                                    Brief Answer:
Your pregnancy is safe
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back.
You have reached safe zone of pregnancy. Meaning miscarriage chances are very low after first trimester (12 weeks).
These SCH episodes will slowly reduce. Their frequency will reduce in second trimester and nil in third trimester.
Therefore there is less chance of miscarriage from now on. There is no reason to be worried.
Let me know if you need any more clarifications.
